Keeping Members of Your Membership Site Happy

One of the reasons why having membership sites is so great is because of the recurring income.  There is nothing like making a sale once and seeing that sale pay over and over again, each month, like clock work. 

The one problem is that you have to keep your members happy if you want to get that recurring income.  Now, after you’ve been an Internet Marketer for awhile and have had some customers, you’ll realize that you can never please everyone. 

The whole key is to please as many of these members as possible.  In this article I’ll examine how to do this.  One sale can result in many.  I’ve had members of one of my membership sites for almost two years now.  That means that every month for almost two years, they have paid me.  That is pretty impressive if a person thinks about it.

The first thing that you need to do is have great customer service.  That is a big one.  Not many members will put up with bad customer service.  Try to get back to them when they e-mail you, within 24 hours, if not sooner.  People will appreciate that.  If you need to outsource it, then go ahead and do it, even if it is for an hour or two a day.

I take the attitude that I work for my members.  I know that we don’t want to work for anyone, but I like to do everything that I can to work for them.  They don’t boss me around or tell me what to do, but I want to work for them to ensure that they have a great experience.

Always be polite and courteous, even to members who cancel their membership.  We all have our bad days, but don’t take it out on any of your members, even if they’re a little rude.  Also, always be nice to members who cancel.  They may decide to rejoin your site at a later time. 

Word also spreads, especially online.  You definitely don’t want to get a bad reputation.  You don’t want people to not join your site because you get a reputation of being a jerk to your members. 

Always provide quality content to your members.  You have to focus on giving them good content and make sure that it is very high in quality.  Your members crave good, new and unique content.  Keep delivering and they will keep coming back for more.
