There was a lot of talking about website flipping here on warrior forum last few days.

People where looking answers on a questions like:

Why my sites don’t sell? Is market saturated? Are there to many website flippers?

My friend sold quite a few websites on sitepoint marketplace in a past year. What he did with great success in the PAST is this. He created good looking blog or website and then filed up that website or blog with PLR articles. To build one site from scratch, he spent no more than one or two hours. Then he just put site on the sale at sitepoit. Almost all of his websites went for BIN (buy it now) price in two days, sometimes in hours. But, everything has changed in the last two month.

He complained, that he hardly sells his sites and nobody puts BIN on his auctions anymore. I asked him what is reason for that in his opinion. He said that recession or market saturation is his problem. After some talking I realized that he is still making same sites in the same niches like he did a year ago.

And here is the big problem. It is not recession or market saturation. He just doesn’t build sites that people want and look for. He builds sites which he thinks people are looking for.

Did you know that more than 70% of website flippers never sell their websites or they get a lot less than they ask for.

When they make few sites and don’t sell them, they go around screaming that website flipping doesn’t work anymore and they go onto their next great idea. Believe me flipping websites still works and there is nothing wrong with website flipping market.

So, what did they do wrong?

They created wrong type of content sites

They put wrong price on them.

They didn’t research the market.

Many of website flippers build a website and they don’t know exactly what type of websites are selling and for what price, they just assume that someone would buy their great website.

Wrong way!

What they should do, is to spend ten minutes going through the auctions that other flippers are selling on sitepoint or any other marketplace, and they could easily figured out what kind of sites are selling and for what price.

It is so simple!

Before you go and spend time creating your website, you should visit market and see what websites and for what price are selling. Then you should create your website.

Stop building websites until you don’t know what people want. What do people want? If something is selling, then you know people want it.

Here is what you should do it:

1. First go to sitepoint market place and spend there around thirty minutes. Search for sites that were sold in the last few weeks. On sitepoint market place, you can see what kind of sites were sold and for how much.

2. When you already know what kind of sites are selling, decide in which niche you will build your new website.

3. Go to Google free keywords tool at https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and search for around 20 keywords with not too big competition. Don’t go for general keywords like “weight loss”, look for long tile keywords like “how to lose belly fat” (these are just examples)

4. Write 20 quality and unique articles or get somebody else to write them for you.

5. Search for good looking and simple blog or website template.
6. Make unique header image with your logo. You can do it online for free.

7. Add articles to your blog or website. Don’t forget about basic SEO

8. Add few great images to your website.

9. Promote your website. (social networking, forum marketing, ezinearticles…)

10. Monetize your website with your own product, affiliate products or adsense.

11. Get some back links. Here at warrior WSO section are few great offers on how to do it.

12. Get at least few sales. It is not necessarily, but It will help you to sell your site in no time

13. Write great sales letter and put your site on auction.

14. Wait for a buyer.

If you do all the above, you should sell your site at BIN (if it’s reasonable) price.

You can also keep site for few months, make some money with it and then sell it for even more money.

I know that you already heard all this many times before. Flipping sites is not rocket science. Anybody with basic computer skills can do it. You have to realize that this is not “push button” business and if you want to be successful, you have to put some hard work into it. If you are willing to do it, you can make a lot of money with website flipping.

Believe me, if you build websites the way I described above you will never have a problem with recession or market saturation. Your websites will sell like hot cakes.

Don’t worry about competition until you sell unique and quality websites. There are always more than enough website buyers for good websites.

I will show you how I just made $180 in a few hours.

I just come across a website where people are talking how hard it is flip sites right now. Market is saturated. Then recession is here. You need unique and expensive content and so on and on. Hundreds of excuses why their websites don’t sell.

I’m in this website flipping business for a long time now and my sites still sell. Ok, I have to adjust my business from time to time, but there is no problem for me to sell my websites.

I did small experiment to show you how you can make at least $50 of profit from simple site you can put together in three or four hours anytime you want.

So what I did? I built small membership site using only free and PLR content.

I registered domain name with namecheap.com and setup hosting account on resellerzoom.com (I have used their budget account for $6.95 …you can put up to 20 sites on one account). Next step was to get content for my membership site. I have a lot of PLR content sitting on my computer hard drive. So, I choose 20 articles about how to make money at home niche. I took first 10 articles import them into Open Office Writer (it is free software) and make a little 20 pages ebook from them. It took me no more than 10 minutes to do that. I convert my little book into pdf format using Open Office again to do that. Next thing I did was ebook cover. I used photoshop to did it, but you can use any other free or paid software to create that tiny graphic.

Next step was creating members folder on my server using cpanel feature on resellerzoom server and upload ebook pdf file into that folder.

Now it is time to create a membership site. I built my membership site with XSitePro software, but you can build yours any other way you want. You can build it using wordpress. Just be sure to install wordpress into members folder. I use XSitePro because it is very easy to create any website and it comes with a lot of great templates built in.

All you need to build a membership site is ten articles and 5 videos which you will get for free. I will tell you about it in a minute.

I created the following pages for my membership site: Member Area (home page), Download, Contact Us, Videos and 10 article pages .

In the Member Area page you put welcome message and link to Download page. On download page you put links which point to your articles, image of your ebook with download link and link to your Videos page. Now, here is how to get your videos… go to Youtube and choose 5 videos you want to use and insert embed codes you get from Youtube on your Videos page.

Get few great free images from any free images site (jupiterimages.com is one of them) and add these images to your pages.

That is it, you are done.

Upload all what you already made to members folder.

Now it is the time to create sales letter. You can write it yourself or use like I did one from yours PLR packages you bought (I hope you keep them somewhere on your hard disk). Don’t forget to add link to your member login page. Again use few great free images and when you are done upload it on your root folder on your server. (not in members folder)

Now you have to protect member area. I use membershipease software to do that. If you don’t own this software already search google and you will find one for less than $10. You don’t have to install anything. You will do it all on your computer and software will do the rest. It is very easy to use and anybody can use it.

I can build site like this one in less than two hours. It will take you more in the beginning, but after you build your first membership site you will see that it is not hard to do it at all.

So, I put that site on SitePoint auction and set BIN price at $70. Site was sold in less than one hour. And not just that. I got two other people asking me if I can build similar membership site for them which I did same day and sent them site next day.

I made $210 from these three sites altogether. I paid around 30 dollars for three domain names. I used my resellerzoom hosting, so I didn’t have to pay for hosting. But, anyway it will cost you around $6.95 to get hosting for 20 of your sites.

In the end I put $180 into my pocket for a six hours of work.

I did it many times before and I will do it again because it works.
